One thing worth harping on - the PK went to poop the moment Palat went down.

I don't think one person is going to solve our horrendous PK. This is a defensive structural problem that needs to be solved as a team.

Palat is far and away our best defensive forward and penalty killer. He cannot single-handedly turn the horrific PK trend around, but his return to will help greatly. Is has been said often, but he is the straw that stirs the drink on whatever line he skates with.

Right around the time Palat went down, our PK and shots against went to poop.

Jesus Christ I hate Boston. And I would say that even if they weren't kicking our ass right now.

I hate the city of Boston. I hate all of their sports teams. And I hate people from Boston. I hate everything about Boston - their poopty food, their racist fans, even the way they talk.

Well, many reasons, but first and foremost - they tolerate Marchand intentionally injuring other players. That right there is reason. They should demand he change his ways or be benched.

(frank)ing transplants that is why. If Boston is so great then why the hell do so many of them move down here to Tampa... this also goes for Chicago, New York, and Philly. I get tired of hearing all the transplants talk poop if their team does good and beats the Lightning at Amalie like tonight with the hey hey good bye chant... its a little bit early to chant that I would say.

They say our fans are never at their arena and I always have to remind them (frank)ers that their sorry asses moved away from their cities to live here in Tampa. Most people from Tampa don't leave Tampa because obviously its a better place to live as proven by the northerners who constantly flock to Florida.

Rant over...

Doesn't matter. The Bolts are not for real yet and this is not their time yet. Obviously, since they rolled over and pooped the bed against a depleted Bruins squad. If this is the best they can do in a "must win" game, then I fully expect the Bolts to get swept out in the first round.

I don't think this team is as good as we think it is.

I agree, at the beginning of the year Vasy hid a lot of the problems with his stellar play. Now that he is worn out (still dont know why they played him so much once they built up the point) the prevalent deficiencies of the team are on display.

The have the ability to put up goals but their Faceoffs especially on special teams has been horrendous and caused all kinds of problems. Their defensive zone coverage is atrocious. And the lack of ability to counter pressure and give up turnovers has been horrible. Im not a doomsday-er just yet, so much talent on this team to say they can't go far in the playoffs. They have roughly 1 month to figure out. Should be interesting as there is a lot of good about this team that can hopefully mask some of their issues if need be.

If this team was as good as we all hoped it was, they would never lose a game. Just like Vegas fans, Bolts fans need to come back down to Earth and be realistic. Our defense has some great names on it now, but it's still swiss cheese and allowing too many shots. Our offense is inconsistent when it is needed most (like last night). And I am starting to question Coop's coaching.

We looked solid against the Oilers tonight, so there's that.

It is great... a nice balmy 80 degrees today, got some fishing in before the game. Then I just caught a 3-1 win for the Bolts and now sitting at the outside bar at Fergs for a final drink before heading home. Honestly I have no problem with transplants except when they act like asses, respect our team and our fans. I pay a lot for my season tickets and when they only come to 2 games a year when their team is in town they can at least act civil.

Still took some bad penalties but they killed them all off. Controlled play and they made McDavid disappear. The game they want to play is there they just have to mean it.

They have Toronto, Boston twice, NJ a potential first round opponent, Nashville mixed in some non play-off teams. We will have some games to still see how they have improved.

They just need to win the division to play Columbus, NJ or FL which to me is a better scenario then going up against Toronto.
